It's the middle of the wedding season, and the iWishfor team knows that you are busy with your plans for that perfect wedding. However, there may be one area that you only realize you need to think about at the last minute: Finding the perfect gifts for your wedding party!

If you're planning a wedding or just recently married, then you know how important your bridal party is. Not only are these your closest friends and family who will bear witness to your commitment to each other, but these are the people that spend countless hours planning your brunches, showers, and bachelor(ette) parties. They are also the people who rush to your house at 11 p.m. when you realize there is just no way you can finish painting all these favor magnets by yourself by 8 a.m. when the reception venue needs them.

It's hard to find a way to thank the people that do everything they can to help put your mind at ease. Words are hardly ever enough, and gifts can only partially prove your appreciation. But alas, gifts are the wedding industry norm for thanking these awesome people in our lives. Picking out the perfect gift can be overwhelming. While this is hardly a comprehensive list, here are some ideas and guidelines for picking out the perfect "thank you."

Personalize it. These days it's pretty easy to find gifts that can be personalized with your bridal party's names, the date of the wedding, and even the location. Look for gifts that can be engraved for the classic look. You can find flasks, bracelets, and dog tags on for affordable prices with engraving included. For something more fun, consider a number of personalized gifts from sellers, such as hand-painted glassware, custom photo frames, and embroidered tote bags.

Give a gift that gives back. Instead of giving your bridal party physical gifts, make donations in your friends' names to their favorite charities. If you still want to give your attendants a physical token of your gratitude, consider websites like Proceeds from the items sold on Hunger Site go to a variety of worldwide charities. Often times you can choose items that benefit specific organizations. For example, a friend, qho recently got married, gave her bridesmaids silver bracelets from Hunger Site. Each bracelet provided five bowls of rice to children in third world countries.

Consider a token they can use (for the wedding). Some of the best gifts are practical and can be used often, such as jewelry. But consider giving your bridesmaids and groomsmen pieces that they can wear during the wedding, which will help unify the looks, but also wear for years to come. offers hundreds of vendors that sell custom jewelry, cufflinks, handbags, and embroidered hankerchiefs.

Do it yourself! If you have the time, energy, patience, and resources, DIY gifts can not only save you money, but also add a touch of personal investment that your bridal party will truly appreciate. The DIY project ideas are endless. I know one couple that used Scrabble letters to make personalized cufflinks and earrings for their attendants. Another simple, but looks amazing, gift is to etch your own glass. You can use any type of glassware or mirrors. Most craft stores sell different etching products, but I find the easiest to use is Armour Etch, an etching cream. You simply place the rubber stencil you want to use on the glass, cover the area with the etching cream, and in 60 seconds wash off the cream with just water. Similarly, it's easy to paint your own glasses. Just make sure to give yourself enough time to let the glass paint set or you'll have to use your stove to bake the glassware.

Individualize your gifts. While it may be easier to get everyone in your bridal party the same gift, there's no hard-and-fast rule that says you must. At our wedding, I gave each of the groomsmen a photo I had taken illustrating a place I had been with each of them. I had already taken the photos. I simply had them enlarged and printed and found a nice, simple black frame for them. It was a personalized gift that was very special. Every time I go to their house, I see it on the wall and remember that special occasion and their all important contribution.

Remembering to get a gift for your wedding party can be hard to remember but so important as a thank you for their contribution to your special day and as a reminder of the special moments you shared together. iWishfor can help you keep a gift list of ideas you can use as gifts to make it easier to find that perfect gift when you need it.
