5 Things We Wish We Could Buy!

iWishfor is usually about finding cool things to add to your iWishfor gift list so you're loved ones always know the perfect gift to get you.

However, sometimes we come across cool products that we would love to add to our iWishfor giftlist, only to discover that they are still only ideas that can't be bought. Very frustrating. But we can only hope that someday we will be able to go into a store and scan the barcodes on one of these things to add it to our iWishfor list.

So, to show you what we are talking about, the iWishfor team has each submitted one or two products they wish they could add to their iWishfor list. Here are the:

5 Things We Wish We Could Buy!

Multi-Outlet Socket System

Rotating 360° is a multi-outlet socket system that allows you to add many sockets to the strip – ala Lego style. The main feature is that you can turn around the socket-outlets in any direction, so as to accommodate various plugs. You have to admit that this is a cool idea.

Alarm Ring

Alarm Ring is a vibrating alarm designed for people who hate the loud blaring sounds of a typical alarm. The charging cradle is where you set what time you want each ring to go off. The ring fits over the tip of your finger and when that opportune time arrives, it vibrates. Putting the ring back on the dock shuts off the alarm.

The benefits are two-fold. It’s perfect for couples who wake up at different hours. Never again will you be disturbed from your precious sleep when the alarm goes off. It’s a discrete sensation that only you feel. Another application is for the hearing impaired, helping to improve their quality of life.

Trunki BoostApak Booster Seat

Spacious, hand luggage approved rucksack that doubles as a booster seat - perfect for car-pooling and family holidays. It might be a little on the heavy side especially when packed with other items but for the versatility and ease of carrying, very worth it, we think. This is the one product that is available but only in Europe. It's still waiting approval in North America.

Ping Pong Table Door

Love Ping Pong but don’t have room for a table? Well, thanks to this ingenious design by Tobias Franzel, you can now enjoy a quick game of ping pong in any sized apartment or house. The door folds down to become a ping pong table and folds back up after the game.

Plug In and Enjoy Speakers

A decent stereo system is a pretty essential part of throwing a great party but unless you’ve gone to the trouble of wiring speakers throughout your whole house the music is going to be limited to only a couple of rooms at best. Designer Jinseup Shin has created a pretty simple and flexible solution to this problem with the Plug In & Enjoy speaker concept.

Roughly the size of a power adapter the speakers plug into any outlet and are designed to receive an FM signal from your stereo, iPod, cellphone or anything else that can be connected to an FM transmitter. Once plugged in you turn the front part of the speaker (which acts like a knob) until if finds the signal coming from your music player. Once the signal is located an LED light will turn green. If it has found the correct station simply wait 3 seconds until the LED turns red at which point the knob will control the volume instead. And if full volume is not loud enough you can simply plug in additional speakers in the same room. We think that this one is by far the coolest music system we have seen. While the sound might not be as good as a traditional system, being able to move it anywhere there is a plug is very handy.

So there is our list of 5 things we wish we could buy. Maybe one day, these products will actually get made. If so, you will definitely see them on our iWishfor gift list!
